2 RD positions with the Navajo people in Chinle, Arizona

Outpatient Dietitian (GS-9/11)

Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) in ambulatory clinic to children and adults through one-on-one counseling, primarily diabetes-related nutrition education; also weight management, cardiovascular disease and hypertension.
Work with gestational diabetes (GDMs) patients (weekly – Tuesdays); serve on a team for Innovations in Planned Care (IPC) Collaborative.
Inpatient Dietitian (weekly – Fridays).
Act in a Supervisory Dietitian role (on occasion).
Be able to work and interact with Foodservice employees.
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) and knowledge of the nutrition care process (NCP) a plus.

Inpatient Dietitian (GS-9/11)

Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) on inpatient wards to children and adults; nutrition education varies from gallbladder nutrition to failure to thrive.
Serve on Patient & Family Education (PFE) Committee.
In-services for foodservice staff on nutrition-related topics (i.e., Renal Diet)
Serve as nutrition liaison to the Pediatric Obesity Group
Assist with creating inpatient menus.
Act in a Supervisory Dietitian role (on occasion).
Be able to work and interact with Foodservice employees.
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) and knowledge of the nutrition care process (NCP) a plus.
