Oncology RD Job at UNC

CANCER SUPPORT PROGRAM
Full-time, Days, 40hrs/week
The role of the Oncology Dietitian is to assess and identify nutritional needs and nutrient requirements according to age, disease and individual needs for OP Oncology patients. The OP Oncology Dietetics program is primarily a consultative service involving one on one patient counseling. Patients are referred to the Oncology Dietitian by physicians, self referral or word of mouth. The Oncology Dietitian will be expected to participate in initiatives of the Comprehensive Cancer Support Program which may include creating and delivering group educational programs and cooking classes. Registered Dietitian credential (as provided by ADA/CDR) and NC state licensure as dietitian/nutritionist is required. Candidates with certification as a Specialist in Oncology Nutrition are encouraged to apply
