Job Summary:
Responsible for developing, planning and implementing designated research protocols and activities associated with the statement of work identified in the annual subcontract agreement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Adheres to University and department policies, procedures, and regulations.
Responsible for developing, planning, and implementing designated research protocols and activities associated with the statement of work identified in the annual subcontract agreement.
Provides leadership in coordinating activities related to designated research protocols.
Travels as needed to fulfill designated research protocols.
Provides leadership when serving as project coordinator for studies/activities involving other professionals employed to fulfill the ARD statement of work, as appropriate.
Demonstrates knowledge of federally funded child nutrition programs and supporting regulations.
Demonstrates current knowledge in research methodologies.
Demonstrates effective time management skills.
Prepares technical reports, manuscripts, oral presentations, and other written forms of communication for the dissemination of research findings following ARD guidelines.
Functions as a productive and contributing member of the ARD staff. Participates on an annual basis in developing the ARD's statement of work for submission to funder. Keeps appropriate individuals on the ARD staff informed of statement of work activities. Provides status reports documenting milestones regarding ongoing projects. Works independently to fulfill designated ARD responsibilities. Collaborates with ARD researchers on protocols/activities, as appropriate.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) or ABD required with degree completion within one year. Degree major in food service management/institution management; or a major in food and nutrition will be considered.
Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience are required.
Must be able to travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
If earned doctoral degree in in food and nutrition, a master's degree in food service management/institution management is preferred.
Experience with child nutrition programs and knowledge of regulations associated with these programs is preferred.
Possession of the Registered Dietitian (RD) credential is preferred.
