PTC Nutritionist for Nestlé Baby Food Products – based in Fremont, Michigan

Reports to: Head of Nutrition for Meals & Drinks

Responsibilities
Overall:
Ensure the nutritional superiority of Nestlé Infant Nutrition Meals & Drink products, by providing science based direction on product design to drive innovation and renovation. Continually monitor the nutritional adequacy of our product portfolio.

Primary:
 Provide nutritional expertise to drive innovation and renovation in the product areas Nestlé Nutrition baby food competes: complete meals, vegetable / fruit dishes, milky desserts, spoonable pap and drinks for babies aged 4 - 36 months
 Participate actively in scientific and technical developments in selected health and benefit areas
 Ensure scientific basis for nutritional concepts, nutrition communication and health claims
 Advise project managers in nutritional design and selection of ingredients according to internal and external scientific information and regulation
 Perform Nutritional Assessments for all new and renovated product recipes
 Consult and interact with Nestlé scientific and regulatory groups globally
Secondary
 Provide expert advice regarding infant and toddler nutrition to Markets, Application Groups and Nutrition Network members globally
 Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and Nestlé Research Centre
 Train Application Groups and Project Manager in infant and toddler nutrition


Requirements
 Master’s or Doctorate degree in nutrition
 At least 5 years experience, preferably in the food industry
 Initiative and Results Focused
 Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence and work cross functionally
 Fluency in English; one other international language would be an advantage.
 General technical aptitude and problem solving skills.
 Good planning, organizing and communication skills
