Registered Dietitian needed to provide nutrition and weight counseling services in a public pediatric health clinic serving Guilford County, NC. The position is for our Take Charge Weight Initiative which is a program to help, children, teens, and families who want to make healthy changes to their lifestyle. Through individual counseling sessions the RD will help the families to set goals, and encouraged behavior change. As a member of the team the RD will be expected to collaborate with other members of the medical and ancillary staff to assist patients in achieving favorable results.
Registered Dietitian should also be comfortable treating pediatric patients using medical nutrition therapy, for such medical conditions as Failure to Thrive, underweight, genetic syndromes, diabetes, food allergies, and gastrointestinal issues. Ideal candidate will have experience with children and families in the Public Health population, Licensed in the state of North Carolina or eligible, and Spanish language skills.
